Youssef Tawk

Dr. Youssef Tawk is a Lebanese physician and conservationist who has dedicated decades to restoring and expanding the cedar forests of Bsharri. A founding member of the Committee of Cedar Forests Friends, he has helped plant tens of thousands of cedar trees around the Cedars of God and has also worked to protect the critically endangered Iris cedreti, an endemic plant found in the region.
